What is a Special Focus Child?
After a child has been placed on the Shared List of Waiting Children and has not been referred to a family for 60 days or longer, the child is designated as a Special Focus Child. This means more effort will be made to find a home for the child. It also may often mean that the child is more difficult to place.
All of the children on an agency's exclusive list will be Special Focus Children. IFS has been given the privilege of finding families to adopt 10 of these precious children. To see their photos and descriptions, navigate to the second page from the top of the directory to the left, or click HERE.
In addition to these 10 children, there are more than 1000 Special Focus Children waiting on the Shared List. IFS can help you locate and adopt your future child from this list. Contact our China Program Director for more information.
